Meet the People Behind BuildMobileDev

We're a small but passionate team of developers who believe that learning Python game development should be accessible, practical, and genuinely fun. Each of us brings something different to the table.

Our Core Team

Behind every line of code and every course module, there are real people who've walked the same path you're on. We've made the mistakes, celebrated the breakthroughs, and learned what actually works in mobile game development.

Keiran Mavros

Lead Python Developer

Started coding Python in university back in 2019, but it wasn't until 2022 that I really dove into mobile game development. What drew me in wasn't just the technical challenge—it was watching people play something I'd built and seeing their genuine reactions.

These days, I spend most of my time working on our course content and helping students debug their first games. There's something incredibly rewarding about watching someone go from "I don't understand classes" to shipping their first mobile game.

Zara Rousseau

Course Design Specialist

My background is actually in educational psychology, but I fell into game development through a side project in 2021. I was working on an educational app and realized I needed to understand the development process from the inside out.

Now I focus on making our courses actually teachable. It's one thing to know Python inside and out—it's another thing entirely to break it down so someone can learn it systematically without getting overwhelmed.

Ahmed Mansour

Technical Mentor

I've been developing mobile applications in Egypt since 2020, and I joined BuildMobileDev because I wanted to help more people get into game development locally. The mobile game market here is growing rapidly, but there aren't enough developers who really understand both Python and mobile optimization.

I handle most of our one-on-one mentoring sessions and help students with their capstone projects. Seeing someone publish their first game on the app stores never gets old.

What We Actually Believe

Honestly, we started BuildMobileDev because we were frustrated with the existing options. Too many courses promised you'd build games without actually teaching you to think like a developer.

We believe in learning by building real projects, making mistakes in a safe environment, and understanding the why behind every line of code. No shortcuts, no promises about instant success—just solid, practical education that prepares you for the real world of game development.

Where We're Heading

By late 2025, we want to have trained 500 competent Python game developers who can actually ship products. Not just people who've completed courses, but developers who understand mobile optimization, user experience, and the business side of game development.

We're also planning to expand our mentorship program and create more opportunities for our graduates to collaborate on real client projects.

How We Got Here

Since starting in late 2022, we've learned as much from our students as they've learned from us. Here's where we stand today and what we've accomplished together.

127 Students Completed Programs
43 Mobile Games Published
89% Course Completion Rate
24 Months of Iteration

What sets us apart isn't revolutionary—it's just consistent attention to detail. We review every single student project personally. We update our curriculum based on actual industry changes, not theoretical improvements. And we maintain small cohort sizes because we've learned that meaningful mentorship doesn't scale infinitely.

Our next major program launch is scheduled for August 2025, and we're currently working on advanced modules that cover monetization strategies and live operations for mobile games.
